We began Reservoir Music in 1987 with the intention of recording the best musicians in Jazz. It has been very important for us to record our personal favorites, who include Nick Brignola, Kenny Barron, Peter Leitch, John Hicks, and Steve Kuhn, to name a few of the leaders and sidemen we've had the distinct pleasure of featuring. Our New York Piano Series is extremely special to us since we have always been fans of jazz piano music. We have had the opportunity, over the years, to hear many of the great pianists, live, in the proving ground of various New York jazz clubs. We feel that we can provide a permanent showcase which focuses on some of the best of these masters. Currently, we have twenty-six editions of the New York Piano Series.

All About Jazz needs your support

Donate
All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
